My MESSAGE

I am delighted to send my heartiest congratulations to all on this historic event of Shikshayatan Foundation for holding its Centenary Celebrations in August 2022. My association with the Society as the founding body of Shri Shikshayatan School, College and Marwari Balika Vidyalaya began in 1961 under the advice of my mentor and guru, Shri B. P. Khaitan. I started accompanying him to the campus, at 11, Lord Sinha Road, taking interest in the working of the school and the college. This association became an abiding one, and I got deeply involved with each passing day working on areas which warranted various changes and improvements, devoting additional time and working intensely in various areas. I visited the institutions everyday including Saturdays, Sundays and also on holidays, battling it out, long and hard, succeeding in bringing about various improvements, discipline and toning up the administration, a task that was challenging. I learnt and experienced during my association that education is imparted mostly to shape the future of the girl child. To make them leaders of tomorrow - one must have humility, commitment to duty, and hard work. To be a good human being one needs to fill virtue in the self, look for virtues in others, donate virtues placing oneself in the position of others. To lead, be a servant leader and not an owner leader, rule by using your heart, soul and mind, holding the head high without losing it. Lastly forgive others who do wrong with you and forget forever.
