Business school Students have experienced how cohesively activities may optimise the resources of the organisation. The synergistic approach of this organisation in creating a pace and space is evident and persistent in the business trajectory when the theories taught in classrooms are well applied in daily business life.
At CBS, we have believed and focused and stressed on the holistic approach of the organisation where the emotions and human qualities of the workers, social system, democratic process, informal relationships and social well-being of the employees motivate the employees to be more harmonious in delivering their best. The democratic style of leadership brings out the best in employees in harnessing the growth of the organisation and this is so evident. During this COVID period we never missed a single class, we had multiple webinars engaging numerous people. The Management Education thus gives us that opportunity to make an individual learn both the concepts and create a sustainable ecosystem where goals of the organisation are more defined, integrated and coordinated which is practiced worldwide today. In fact, our imparting of management education has gained impetus to combat the different external and internal forces, which are creating, multiple opportunities.

India, today, is considered as a talent pool of the world, having competent and educated human resources in abundance. This has been one of the primary reasons for transformation of India into one of the fastest growing economies in the world since liberalization in the 1990s.
In this context, it is worth mentioning the important note of the English politician, Thomas Babington Macaulay who introduced new education policy in 1835 based on British model to transform Indian minds into European ideas popularly known as ‘Macaulayism’. On the other hand, Tagore firmly believed that cultivation of feeling, involving sympathy for others is at the heart of real education system, where the mind is without fear, and the head is held high. Swami Vivekananda’s concept of education and his vision for an educational system would be man-making, character-building and assimilation of higher Ideas.
So, at Calcutta Business School we focus on the growth of its students & staffs dependent on the changing dimensions of education system, conceived on Indian values which leads to continual growth of personality, steady development of character, and the qualitative improvement of life. It is very difficult to describe in a few sentences about my journey at CBS. Over this short period I have grown as a leader, and as a person with values. When I think of the word “CBS”, I am reminded of the Eminent Founders, Trustees, Board of Governors who have always been inspiring; the supportive guardians. I feel elated top be part of this institute having world class infrastructure and teaching learning environment, affectionate seniors, highly talented and supportive colleagues. Every day working with students has been a great learning experience at CBS. Finally, its ambience and eco-friendly smart campus of 15 acres, anybody would fall in love and I am not the exception.
