``Commitment over the Ages``
Over the years, Shri Shikshayatan College has developed and nurtured a web of community outreach services to sustain those educational practices that promote social responsibility, good citizenry and empowered womanhood.
National Social Service (NSS), Leadership Training Service (LTS), Community Outreach Social Unit (COSU) and Social Welfare Committee (SWC) units in our College have provided appropriate platforms for interface and engagement with crucial social issues.
Our community outreach services have included on a regular basis, annual NSS special camps, health and hygiene awareness camps, environment and social awareness interfaces, periodic donations for help in setting up infrastructure in schools in remote areas and mobilizing students on the whole to address relevant issues of the time.
Through a plethora of such activities and more, our students have not only forged meaningful partnerships with some NGOs but have also displayed exemplary leadership qualities and heartwarming compassion in the fulfillment of their mission of transforming lives of the lesser privileged.
We have been immensely heartened to note the spontaneous participation and active involvement of our students in all their endeavors.
We believe that academic excellence tempered with an abiding commitment to humane values constitutes the core of a truly holistic education.

The Journey
Our journey as an institute of higher learning began on 8th of July 1955 with the vision of our Founding Fathers to empower women through higher education. From a humble student strength of 28 students, we have today in College more than 4,300 students and the College is a much sought after destination for girl students.
Today in 2022, we find ourselves striving every day to achieve the vision of holistic development of its students, encouraging academic excellence and co-curricular and extra-curricular achievements.
The social outreach service units of the college - NSS, COSU, SWC, LTS – engage both students and teachers in varied activities to reach out to the underprivileged.
E-Cell of our College Shri Vriddhi, established in the year 2008 in collaboration with Wadhwani Foundation, had opened up new opportunities for students imparting entrepreneurial culture under the aegis of the College. Some of the students have taken forward their Practice Ventures and have become entrepreneurs in their own right, generating employment for others.
Apart from regular teaching-learning, workshops and seminars are organised in the premises inviting delegates from within the country and outside involving students to develop their organisational skills and leadership qualities, instilling research environment as well. Different societies are set up by and for students that arrange workshops on their own specialisation and interests.
The students very enthusiastically participate in different functions and sports activities organised within and outside the college premises, representing the college and winning awards and accolades.
Shri Shikshayatan College firmly believes that – “ Learning is not attained by chance, it must be sought for with ardor and attended to with diligence.”
